![]() I have also used the USB port for my digital camera and an MP3 player, probably since the last time I used the flash drive at home.Ĭould it be that the computer is expecting it to be a camera or MP3? What do I need to do to retrieve the data on that drive (other that take it back to the work computer and e-mail it to myself) ? The light flashes, but I don’t see it in device lists or anything. Now on my home computer, I can’t seem to get it to recognize the drive. Network Operating System - I think it is due to the drive letter that the OS is trying to assign already being in use by a NETWORK drive. I have seen this happen alot of times when Novell Netware was being used for a N.O.S. The thumb drive should now KEEP the same drive letter on reboot etc. Assign a new drive letter (such as z:) but ensure that the drive letter is not in use 9. Right click on the volume and choose “Change drive letter or path” 8. Find the volume that has the disk space that is the size of your usb (determine which volume is your usb) 7.
